Print position sensor

The print position sensor, a photo reflection sensor, reads the reflection density from
the print position adjustment pattern as well as the surface of the printing paper.
The voltage measured in the sensor varies proportional to the reflection density from
the pattern or the paper, through which the print position or the paper width is
determined.
The sensor cover opens only when detection by the sensor is performed.

Carriage home position sensor

The carriage home position sensor, a photo interrupter-based sensor, detects the
home position of the carriage.
The sensor, mounted on the purge unit, senses the carriage home position edge on
the carriage unit during the carriage traveling.
The carriage home position is defined on the basis of the location when the edge is
detected.

Linear encoder

The linear encoder, installed on the rear of the carriage, detects the position of the
carriage using the slits on the linear scale while the carriage is moving.
