3.10.4 Paper Delivery Assembly Structure

a) Components associated with paper delivery

Printed paper is discharged from the printer by the feed motor-driven eject roller and
the spur unit. The spurs of the spur unit are arranged in a staggered configuration
to prevent paper curvature. To avoid stains or blots on the paper caused by the
spurs, they are cleaned by the spur cleaner during cleaning operations.

b) Components associated with the paper cutting

If Auto Cut: Yes is selected in the user menu, roll paper is automatically cut by the
rotary cutter, driven by the cutter motor, after printing.
The rotary cutter, whose home position is on the right (carriage home position) side
of the printer, moves back and forth along the paper delivery slot. When the paper is
carried to the cut position, the rotary cutter runs from right to left for cutting, and
then returns to the original position.
