2.1.1 Installation environment

Leave a clear space around the printer to ensure easy operation and maintenance.

Follow the precautions below when choosing the location.

• Do not subject the printer to extremely high or low temperature. Also

avoid extremely high or low humidity. The operating temperature is 5°C -
35°C with humidity 10% - 90% RH.

• Avoid direct sunlight. Use curtains if there is no alternative.
• Avoid abrupt changes in temperature.
• Avoid dusty locations.
• Avoid placing it in the vicinity of an air conditioner or an electric fan.

Their air currents may damage the printer.

• Avoid places prone to vibrations.
• Place the main unit on a solid floor which safely supports its full weight

(approx. 288kg) and does not transmit vibrations. Do not install the
printer on a carpeted floor where it can not remain level and stable, as it
may lead to poor print quality. When there is no choice but to install it
on a weak surface, strengthen the floor with something like an iron plate
which is broad enough to accommodate the printer.
