4.1.7 Replacing the waste-Ink tank

The waste-ink tank of the printer is to be replaced by the user.

a) When to replace the waste ink tank

When the weight of the waste ink tank has exceeded the prescribed value, the sensor
will detect the waste ink tank as being full and it will show the "Replace waste ink
tank" message on the display. If "Replace waste ink tank" is displayed, the printer
will suspend the current job until the full waste ink tank is replaced with a new one.

b) How to replace the waste-ink tank

1) Open the lower-left cover.
2) Raise the waste ink tank locking lever.
3) Remove the waste-ink tank.
4) Pull out the waste ink tank a little and attach the cap.
