<Cause>
An error has occurred in the calibration process of the print position sensor
performed before the paper width detection sequence, skew detection sequence, or
the automatic print position adjustment sequence.
The paper width detection was not completed within the predefined time period.
The skew detection was not completed within the predefined time period.
Paper width error was not detected during the head position adjustment (automatic)
process.
Head position adjustment (automatic) was not adjusted correctly.
<Probable faulty component>
Print paper, carriage unit, cover open/close arm, carriage unit (BJ print head),
carriage controller, head controller, system controller.
<Action>
1. Paper check:
Replace any paper which has printing or stains at the sensor calibration position
and the head position adjustment pattern position.
Also, the head position adjustment (automatic) should be performed using a roll
paper larger than A1 size.
2. Visual inspection:
Visually check the print position sensor for abnormal conditions, such as trapped
foreign matter.
Also visually check and replace the wiper unit if any abnormal condition is found
on the cover open/close arm of the wiper unit.
2'. BJ print head
W6820 may be due to non-jetting of ink. Visually check the presence of ink in the
air buffer. If the problem persists even after cleaning, replace the BJ print head.
3. Replace the carriage unit.
4. Replace the carriage controller.
5. Replace the head controller.
6. Replace the system controller.
