Blade sensor
The blade sensor, a photo interrupter-based sensor, detects the rotating position of
the wiper blade when the wiper motor operates in the normal rotation.
In the normal rotation mode of the wiper motor, if the sensor light passes through
the cut in the rotary flag, which is interlocked with the wiper blade shaft, the printer
recognizes that the wiper blade is at the standby position. The other blade positions
are determined based on the number of pulses used for the rotation of the pulse
motor, which is calculated using the standby position as a reference.
Cover open/close arm sensor
The cover open/close arm sensor, a photo interrupter-based sensor, detects the
operating state of the cover open/close arm. The cover open/close arm moves
up/down when the wiper motor operates in reverse. If the cover open/close arm is
set, the sensor light is blocked, indicating the cover open/close arm is in the set
state.
Ink bottle set sensor
The ink bottle set sensor, a microswitch sensor, detects the set (installation) state of
the ink bottles.
When the ink bottle locking levers for all the ink bottles are pressed down to the set
position, the microswitch of the ink bottle set sensor is turned on. This action
enables the printer to know that the ink bottle has been set correctly.
Ink bottle leakage detection sensor
The ink bottle leakage detection sensor, employing electrodes for sensing, detects
leaked ink at the bottom of the ink bottle unit.
The sensor finds the ink leakage when the ink flows to the area between the two
electrodes, which changes the electric resistance (impedance) level due to the
resulting short circuit.
