C/M/K air valve sensor

The C/M/K air valve sensor, a photo interrupter-based sensor, detects the
open/closed state of the air valves for cyan, magenta, and black inks.
If the sensor light passes through the cut in the rotary flag, which is interlocked with
the C/M/K air cam shaft, the printer recognizes that all the air valves (C, M, and K)
are open. The closed state is determined based on the number of pulses used for the
rotation of the pulse motor, which is calculated using the timing when the light
passes though the cut.

A-H valve sensor

The A-H valve sensor, a photo interrupter-based sensor, detects the open/closed
state of the A-H valves.
If the sensor light passes through the cut in the rotary flag, which is interlocked with
the A-H valve cam shaft, the printer recognizes that all the A-H valves are open. The
closed states are determined based on the number of pulses used for the rotation of
the pulse motor, which is calculated using the timing when the light passes though
the cut.
