3.8 Air Flow

3.8.1 Air Flow

During the printing operation, some ink mist, generated by the ink ejecting or ink
rebounding from the paper surface, may float inside the unit. The ink mist is collected
to the ink mist absorber through the air flow streams in the unit.
The ink mist absorber is installed in the printer frame stay, which continues to collect
mist throughout the entire lifetime of the printer.
The exhaust air fan on the left of the printer generates the air streams, running from
left to right and from front to rear.
The intake air fan installed on the rear of the pressure roller unit produces the air
streams that carry the ink mist to the ink absorber.
