6.2 Adjustment and How to Set Up

6.2.1 Adjusting the Belt tension

After adjustment screws (red screws) on the belt tension are loosened, tighten them
up to correct media feeding by following the steps described below.

a) Roll feed roller drive unit

Apply 1.0-kg pressure as measured with a spring balance against the belt tension
part (a) and fasten the adjustment red screw.

b) Upper roll driver unit

Apply 2.5-kg pressure as measured with a spring balance against the belt tension
part (b) and fasten the adjustment red screws.
