Plumbing: water drainage
Warning
The waste water flowing out of the oven may be hot (90°C).
The pipes used for water drainage must be able to withstand high temperatures.
Pipes
In the bag inside the packaging, you will find a 90° bend that can be fitted to the water drainage terminal on
the back of the oven, and should then be connected using a rigid pipe or flexible hose (see UNOX kit, code
TB1520) leading to an open or siphon drain. Its diameter should be at least equal to the diameter of the drain
attachment, and it should be no longer than one metre.
The oven drainage channel should be connected to the waste water system by means of a suitable siphon, in
order to prevent steam from escaping.
Avoid crushing flexible hoses or letting kinks form in metal pipes, for the entire length of the drain channel.
T|he drain pipe must always be at an incline of at least 5% to guarantee an adequate flow of water, and the
almost horizontal section should be no longer than one metre.
It is good practice to make sure each appliance has its own connection to the water drainage system. If
several appliances or other pieces of equipment are connected to a single drainage pipe, make sure that the
pipe is large enough, so as to ensure the water flows away properly without any problems.

All the operations must be carried out according to local current laws and regulations.
The drain has to be placed outside the perimeter of the equipment.
Do not reduce the diameter of the drain pipe.
