Powering Off the TSQ 9000 System

7. Look behind the right side of the vacuum interlock shield and twist the vent valve knob

one and a half times in a counter-clockwise direction to open the vent. Wait five minutes
for venting to complete.

8. Power-off all the remaining instruments. Refer to their user documentation for specific

instructions.

IMPORTANT

The process ends here if you are planning to perform system

maintenance on the TSQ 9000 mass spectrometer alone (for example, to replace the
filament). You don’t need to turn off the GC, data system, and autosampler.

CAUTION

If you need to work inside the TSQ 9000 instrument, disconnect it from the

electrical outlet. Be sure to reconnect it to the AC Input connector on the back of the
instrument after finishing your work and closing the instrument.
