Ion Guide



To replace the ion guide:

1. Shut down your system by following the steps in

“Shutting Down the TSQ 9000 System”

page 127

2. Remove the analyzer tray from the instrument by following the instructions in

“Removing the Analyzer Tray from the TSQ 9000 Instrument”

page 129

3. Turn the analyzer tray to access the bottom and disconnect the three lens wires attached

to the lenses between the quadrupoles.

4. Remove the screws holding the Q3 exit lens endcap to the tray.

5. Remove Q3 and the Q3 exit lens endcap.

6. Remove the screws holding the collision cell to the tray.

7. Remove the collision cell and Q1.
