E-42 SETTING OF COORDINATE SYSTEM
1.
In the presetter mode (the indicator in the presetter mode switch
is lit), if the tool
tip is brought into contact with the stylus by moving two axes simultaneously or if the
sensor is turned on although an axis is not moved, the following alarm message is
displayed on the screen.
ALARM 5195 DIRECTION CAN NOT BE JUDGED
In this case, the alarm state can be cleared by pressing the
(RESET) key.
If the tool is in contact with the stylus when the alarm is cleared, the following
message is displayed on the screen.
EX1979 RETRACT TOOL FROM SENSOR
In this case, check the direction of tool contact with the stylus and move the tool
away from the stylus.
2.
Keep connection parts of base and presetter arm and the presetter arm to base joint
portions away of chips, dust, and other foreign matter. Also protect them from
splashing of coolant. Chips, coolant, and foreign matter deteriorate measuring
accuracy and thus machining accuracy will be lowered. In addition, there will be
cases that the installation of the presetter arm to the base cannot be recognized due
to improper contact of the connection parts. If this occurs, the tool presetter cannot
be used.
3.
Keep the connection part of protection cover away of chips, dust, and other foreign
matter and also protect it from splashing of coolant. These will cause improper
contact of the connection parts and if the protection cover is installed to the base, it
will not be recognized and the cover close check signal is not turned on. In this
case, machine operation is made impossible.
4.
If the presetter arm is held by hand, it will be thermally expanded. To minimize
thermal expansion and to ensure secure holding by preventing slipping, a grip is
provided. Therefore, when holding the presetter arm, hold it at the grip. Due to the
same reason, do not hold the presetter arm for a long time. If the thermally
expanded presetter arm is installed to the base and used for measurement,
measuring accuracy is deteriorated and machining accuracy is lowered.
5.
The Z-axis work shift offset data can be set only one time by pressing the presetter
measurement switch
.
To set the Z-axis work shift offset data for another tool, turn off the presetter mode
switch
once and then turn it on again.
6.
If the presetter arm is mounted to the presetter arm mounting base at either of turret
1 and turret 2, axis movement is not allowed for the other turret.
