D-42 PROGRAM EDITING

Inputting/Outputting a Program
The procedure for inputting and outputting programs by using an external I/O device is described
here.
<Cautions on program input/output operation>
1.
If an existing program number is used when inputting a new program, an alarm is
generated.
2.
Program input/output stops when the
[STOP]
soft-key is pressed.
3.
Make sure that the I/O device has been set.
4.
If a program is input without designating a program number, the NC data must begin
with a program number preceded by "O" or ":". An input error occurs if a program
number is not designated.
5.
The NC data not containing an O number may be input by designating a program
number.
6.
If the data to be input has multiple EOB codes followed by an O number, the
programs are registered under the individual O numbers.
WARNING
Always place the PANEL key-switch in the
(ON) or
(OFF) position
after completing program entry. Be aware that the program will be
updated if program editing operations are carried out with the PANEL key-
switch at the
(PANEL/EDIT) position. If the program is executed after
being accidentally updated in this way the machine could operate
unexpectedly, causing serious injuries or damage to the machine.
