SETTING OF COORDINATE SYSTEM E-35
<If X and Z values in a G50 block are smaller than actual values>
1.
An S command specified in a G50 block determines the allowable maximum spindle
speed.
Usually, the limit speed of the spindle to ensure safe operation or a speed a little
lower than this is specified when an imbalanced workpiece or fixture is rotated.
If end face is machined in the G96 constant surface speed control mode, spindle
speed increases to reach the maximum speed as the cutting tool moves toward the
center. In such operations, the S command specified in a G50 block clamps the
spindle speed at the specified value to ensure safe operation. The spindle speed
clamp function is not valid in the G97 mode.
2.
The coordinate system setting command "G50 X___Z___ ;" must be set for all tools.
The start point of the turret must be in the same position for each tool.
The return point must be set at the same position as the start point.
Be sure to cancel the tool offset data before specifying G50 command.
Never combine the two different methods (tool geometry offset data, G50 command
method) to set the coordinate system.
