The conditions for the completion of the steady rest closing depends on the turret 2 X-axis
position.
1.
The steady rest closing is completed when the steady rest is at the closing end if the turret 2
X-axis is at the zero point.
The indicator in the STEADY REST 1 CLOSE
blinks.
The steady rest closing is not completed when the steady rest clamps the workpiece when
the turret 2 X-axis is at the zero point.
2.
The steady rest closing is completed when the steady rest clamps the workpiece if the turret
2 X-axis is not at the zero point.
The indicator in the STEADY REST 1 CLOSE
is lit.
The steady rest closing is not completed even if the steady rest is at the closing end when
the turret 2 X-axis is not at the zero point.

Alarms Related with Steady Rest
This section deals with the alarms related with the steady rest.

The turret 2 X-axis is not within the allowable range to index the
turret.

OVER
The steady rest clamp operation has not been completed within
the specified time after execting M341 command.

ST. REST CLAMP
SIGNAL OFF
The steady rest clamp check signal is turned off even though the
steady rest open command has not been specified.

The M340 or M341 command is specified while the turret station
on which the steady rest is not installed has been indexed.
