Network Services
Nuisance Call Blocking Service
The Nuisance Call Blocking service enables you
to register specific phone numbers, such as
those which make nuisance calls or unwanted
sales calls, so that you do not receive any fur-
ther calls from those numbers. Once you have
registered a number, calls from that number are
automatically rejected by the network and the
call rejection message is sent to the caller.
c
When you receive a Push-to-Talk call from a
caller registered in the Nuisance Call Blocking
service, the call rejection message is not sent to
the caller, and the call is disconnected.
c
Calls barred by the Nuisance Call Blocking ser-
vice are not logged in the “Received calls” record
and no “Missed calls” desktop icon appears.

Caller ID Request Service
When you receive a voice call from a caller who
does not provide his or her phone number
(caller ID), the Caller ID Request service sends
the caller an audio message for voice calls and
a movie announcement requesting caller ID for
videophone calls, and then automatically ends
the call (As for Push-to-Talk, the announcement
is not sent to the caller, and the call is discon-
nected). This service provides an effective way
to prevent problems with calls from unknown
callers and enables you to use the FOMA termi-
nal safer.
c
Calls rejected by the Caller ID Request service are
not logged in the “Received calls” record and no
“Missed calls” desktop icon appears.
