The functions and data that are subject to PIM lock are listed below. You can specify whether to set PIM
lock for each function and item.

Mail Mail Locks the mail menu display.

Mails cannot be composed and mail boxes cannot be displayed.
a Though MessageR/MessageF, i-mode mails, chat mails and SMS are
received, the receiving and reception results screens do not appear.

ToruCa ToruCa Locks the ToruCa list screen display. ToruCa can be acquired using the
reader/writer unit even if PIM lock is set, but the acquisition screen does not
appear. Releasing the lock shows the “New ToruCa” desktop icon.

Voice announce Locks the function activation. It cannot be accessed from another function.

If the data subject to PIM lock are set for a ring tone, the receiving screen
and standby screen, they work according to the default settings while in
PIM lock.

If “Chara-den” is subject to PIM lock and PIM lock is set, the “Pre-
installed” substitute image is sent during a videophone call.
Music Channel, Bar
code reader, Camera,
Access reader Locks the function activation.

When PIM lock is set, the FOMA terminal downloads a Music Channel
program without displaying the download screen. When PIM lock is
released, the desktop icon appears to indicate that the program has been
downloaded.
Schedule Schedule, Alarm clock,
To Do list Locks the function activation. The alarm is not given even when the
specified time is reached.

The alarm is not given and the “Missed alarm” desktop icon appears.

If “Schedule” is subject to PIM lock and the calendar is set for the standby
screen, Schedule cannot be activated from the calendar on the standby
screen while in PIM lock.
Memo Record message Locks the “Record message” setting operations. Furthermore, does not
record messages when a call arrives.
