Available Network
Services
Your FOMA terminal provides you with access
to a range of useful DoCoMo network services.
The table below outlines the available services.

This chapter explains the overview of the net-
work services using the menus on the FOMA ter-
minal. For more details, see “Network Services
User Guide”.

When the “
” icon appears, you cannot use
the service that is available when you are con-
nected to the Network service center.

When DoCoMo makes a new network service
available, you can add the new service to the
menu (Additional service).

Voice Mail Service
Voice Mail service announces to a caller who
calls when “
” appears or the FOMA termi-
nal is turned off, and keeps a message for you.
* As of August 2006, a videophone message cannot be
kept using the Voice Mail service.

Messages can be recorded up to three minutes
each. Up to 20 calls and 20 videophone calls can
be recorded. They are stored for up to 72 hours.

If you receive a call while the Voice Mail service is
activated, the ring tone specified in “Select ring tone”
sounds. You can answer the call while the FOMA ter-
minal is ringing. If you do not answer the call within
the specified period of time, it is transferred to the
Voice Mail service center. Calls are logged in the
Received calls record as “Missed calls” and the
“Missed calls” desktop icon appears on the standby
screen.

Voice mail cannot be connected via videophone by
“32K” communication speed.
e
When connecting to the Voice Mail via Chara-den,
you cannot perform DTMF operation. Switch to the
DTMF transmission mode using the function menu.
