NOTE
All immersion heaters are sealed
around the threads with silicone.
Additional torque may be
required to break the silicone
seal upon removal.

Place a 3" socket on the immersion heater
hex end; turn the immersion heater
counterclockwise to loosen and remove it
using a 1" drive ratchet and 15" extenion.

When the immersion heater is completely
unscrewed, slide the heater out of the
orifice to remove it.
NOTE
Prior to installation, verify
that the immersion heater
being installed is of the
correct part number and
voltage. All immersion
heaters are stamped with
this information.
When installing a new
screw type immersion
heater, it is necessary to
apply Teflon
®
tape and
fresh silicone to the threads
of the immersion heater. An
additional smoothed bead
of silicone is also required
around the heater fitting
flush with the female tank
coupling after installation,
to ensure a water tight
seal. Allow at least 24
hours for the silicone to
cure before filling the wash,
rinse,or optional chemical
isolation tanks.
