NOTE
Dispose of the waste material
properly and in accordance to local
safety regulations pertaining to
the handling of descaling waste
products. Consult descaler
manufacturers' Material Safety
Data Sheets (MSDS) for
instructions.

Drain the system tanks by pressing the
Wash/ Hurricane, Rinse/ Hurricane, and
optional Chemical Isolation tank drain
controls via the front control panel to
activate the solenoid drain valves.

Once the system tanks have been
completely drained, press the
Power
Off control to disable the tank heaters and
automatic fill solenoids.

Use a hose with spray nozzle to thoroughly
flush the tanks with clean water.

Press the
Power On Control.

Press the system's
Fill controls, to
activate the tank fill solenoids.
Allow the tanks to fill completely.

When the tanks have completed filling,
press the
Wash/ Hurricane,
Rinse
Hurricane, and optional
Chemical
Isolation On/Off Controls to activate the
recirculation pumps or external feed
solenoid.
Allow the pumps to recirculate for
approximately five (5) to ten (10)
minutes.

Perfom the fill, recirculate and drain
procedure at least three (3) times to
ensure complete rinsing of the descaler.

Allow the pumps to continue circulating
the descaling solution for approximately
20 - 40 minutes, depending on the
severity of the scale build-up.
This thorough circulation process ensures
that the spray jets distribute the descaling
solution throughout the tanks and spray
sections.

Press the wash, rinse, and optional
chemical isolation pump On/Off Controls
to disable the recirculation pumps.

Use a brush with long, soft bristles to
thoroughly scrub all interior surfaces of
each of the wet sections being descaled.
NOTE
Scrub the final rinse section as
well, if applicable.

Remove the tank lids and basket
assemblies.
CAUTION
Use caution not to damage
temperature thermocouples and liquid
level float mechanisms while cleaning
surfaces near them.

Use the same brush to thoroughly scrub all
interior surfaces of each of the tanks.

Reinstall the tank baskets lids.

Press the
Wash/ Hurricane,
Rinse/ Hurricane, and optional
Chemical Isolation pump On/Off
Controls to re-enable the recirculation
pumps to commence recirculation of the
descaler solution.
Allow to recirculate for an additional ten
(10) minutes.

Press the pump On/Off Controls again to
disable the recirculation pumps.
