4-12 Maintenance
Aquastorm 200
WARNING
Highly concentrated solutions of
saponifiers or surfactants may cause
skin and/or eye irritation. Consult
Saponifier or Surfactant
Manufacturers' Safety Data Sheets
(MSDS) for appropriate clothing and
safety instructions.
4
Inspect and clean each of the tank catch
screens to clear them from debris.
It may be necessary to spray the catch
screen from the under-side to remove the
debris.
Do not hose debris back into
the tank.
Use an appropriate cleaning
area for water clean-up.
NOTE
Saponifiers contain defoamers
which defoam surface water.
When applying saponifier in any
application do not skim any
residue from the water surface
except for when performing
maintenance procedures and when
the tank is to be drained.
Excessive foaming can occur
during operation if the defoamers
are removed.
5
Inspect the contamination level of the
water in each of the tanks.
If inspection warrants, use a stainless
steel strainer to skim off any residue
floating on the water surface prior to
draining the tank.
6
Press each of the tank's Drain Control
on the membrane keypad to drain the
tanks.
NOTE
If your application requires the use
of treated (deionized) water, be
sure to use treated water when
rinsing the Aquastorm 200™
to
avoid contamination.
CAUTION
Use caution not to apply direct
forceful streams of water to the float
switches while rinsing with the hose.
Damage may result.
7
While the tanks are draining rinse the
tanks, spray manifolds, spray curtains and
upper and lower interior cabinet walls
thoroughly with a hose and spray nozzle.
Make sure all surfaces are clean and free
of debris.
This cleaning process is to remove
residual flux, oil or detergent which may
be present, as well as preventing the
build-up of these materials.
Rinse thoroughly for a minimum of five
(5) minutes.
NOTE
Solder masks, tapes and paper
tags are a major cause of clogged
pump filters and drain screens.
8
Inspect and clean each tank's drain screen
and pump inlet filter(s). A clogged pump
inlet filter will restrict pump circulation.
The drain screens are located inside at
the bottom of each tank. The pump
recirculation filters are also inside the
tanks.
