O/A CASCADE SETUP
NOTE
If a saponifier is being used in
combination with an O/A flux, the
Rosin Cascade Setup should be
performed.
When cleaning using Organic Acid (O/A)
applications it is most important to permit
cascading to occur. Open and or close the
specified cascade pipe ball valves outlined in this
procedure for O/A cleaning applications.
Go to the rear prewash section and locate the
two (2) valves coming from prewash. One (1) goes
directly to drain, controlled via a ball valve. The
other permits prewash to cascade back to
recirculating wash tank, also controlled via a ball
valve.
Turn the ball valve on the prewash pipe going
directly to drain to the OPEN position to allow
prewash to go directly to drain.
Turn the ball valve on the prewash cascade pipe
going to the recirculating wash tank to the
CLOSED prevent cascading from occurring.
Go to the rear recirculating rinse section and
locate the cascade pipe going from the
recirculating rinse tank to the recirculating wash
tank. Turn the ball valve located on this cascade
pipe to the OPEN position. This permits
cascading to occur.
If the Aquastorm 200
™
is configured with the
optional Enhanced Chemical Isolation tank,
locate the cascade pipe from the recirculating
rinse tank to the Chemical Isolation tank and
ensure the ball valve is COMPLETELY CLOSED.
It is important to keep chemicals in this section
isolated to prevent cross contamination between
the wash and rinse sections.
Remove the tag out for the system disconnect,
then activate power to the system.
Press the main power on control to enable
subsystems.
Press the Fill Control under the Wash controls
section of the main keypad and allow the wash
tank to fill completely.
Press the Wash/ Hurricane Pump On/ Off
control under the Wash section controls of the
main keypad to energize the wash and prewash
spray nozzles.
Observe the prewash upper and lower spray
nozzle pressures at the pressure gauge view panel
at the entrance end of the system.
Press the Final Rinse On/ Off control to activate
the final rinse solenoid and energize the final
rinse spray nozzles.
Observe the final rinse upper and lower spray
nozzles pressures at the pressure gauge view panel
at the entrance end of the system.
It is imperative that the upper and lower spray
nozzle pressures in the final rinse section are
greater than the upper and lower spray nozzles
pressures in the prewash section.
If the pressures require adjustment, decrease
pressures in the prewash section.
The prewash ball valves are located at the rear
of the Prewash section.
