SETTING UP THE INJECTOR
The detergent injector is connected in-line with
the wash section rear plumbing feed inlet.
To set up the injector proceed as follows:
1
The inlet side of the injector has a length of
vinyl tubing attached to it, with a stainless
steel strainer installed at the opposite end.
Insert the strainer end of the tube into the
detergent container located behind the
prewash section. If the injector end of the
tube is not connected, connect it at this time.
The #16 brass bushing is preinstalled in
the injector housing at the factory. This
size should be adequate for most
applications, i.e., 26.5 - 57 L/M (7 - 15
U.S. gpm) under variable pressure.
2
Adjust the injection rate by turning the
metering screw located on the fitting.
Depending on the viscosity of the
detergent being used, the injection rate
is adjustable from 90 - 2700 C
3
/min. (3
- 100 oz./min.) The metering screw has
a range of five (5) turns.
3
Turn the metering screw counterclockwise to
increase the flow and clockwise to reduce the
flow.
After adjusting, the metering screw
should not require any additional
adjustment. This is because the injection
rate is constant, regardless of the normal
changes in pressure.
In the event that a detergent with a
different viscosity is used, the metering
screw will require readjustment to meet
the new requirements.
