Check the belt tension on the blower belt
by placing the Krikit II gauge in the center
of the belt and aligning the sides of the
gauge parallel to the edges of the belt and
mid-way between the two (2) blower
pulleys.
The following steps will determine
whether the belt tension needs to be
increased or decreased.
NOTE
Belt tension accuracy is dependent
on proper positioning of the
gauge.

Press down slowly on the belt tension
gauge pad to get an accurate reading.

When you feel and hear a click from the
tension gauge, immediately release
pressure and carefully remove the gauge
so as not to move the indicator arm.

how to read the Krikit II Tension Gauge
accurately.
It is recommended to take more than one (1)
belt tension reading to assure repeatable
measurements. Once an accurate reading has
been established proceed to the next step in this
procedure.
Indicator Arm
Position the Krikit gauge sideways as depicted in the photo above to read
the exact point on the scale where the indicator arm intersects the front
of the scale. Take caution not to move the indicator.
