7. TROUBLESHOOTING IMAGE FAULTS/MALFUNCTIONS
Sorter
Cause
• Feeding motor (M8; faulty)
• Low-speed feeding motor (M10;
faulty)
The locking cam of the buffer path
unit fails to reach home position.
• Push bar motor (M7; rotation
failure)
• Reference wall motor (M6;
rotation failure)
Description
• There is no clock signal from the clock
sensor (PI5) of the feeding motor for 250 ms
or more.
• There is no clock signal from the clock
sensor (PI23) of the feeding motor for 250
ms or more.
0001
The buffer sensor 1 does not detect
the position of the locking cam at the
correct timing (i.e., the sensor 1 may
be considered to be damaged; the
sensor 2 operates normally).
0002
The buffer sensor 2 does not detect
the position of the locking cam at the
correct timing (i.e., the sensor 2 may
be considered to be damaged; the
sensor 1 operates normally).
0003
The buffer sensor (1, 2) does not
detect the position of the locking cam
at the correct timing (i.e., the sensor 1/
2 or the locking solenoid 1/2 may be
considered to be damaged).
0004
The buffer sensor 1/2 does not detect
the position of the locking cam at the
correct timing (i.e., either the locking
cam solenoid 1 or solenoid 2 or both
are considered to be damaged).
0005
The buffer sensor 1/2 does not detect
the position of the locking cam at the
correct timing (i.e., either the buffer
sensor or the locking cam solenoid or
both may be considered to be dam-
age).
• The operation does not end within 2000 ms
after the motor drive signal has been gener-
ated.
• The operation does not end within 2000ms
after the motor drive signal has been gener-
ated.
