Bosch Security Systems provides this section to help you troubleshoot problems with the control panel. To prevent problems
from occurring, read the preceding sections of this document to verify that the control panel is correctly installed and
programmed.

Below are various problems that may occur, followed by explanations of the problems (cause) and solutions.
59.1 Arming
Issues
Problem
Cause
Solution
I enter a valid PIN to arm an
area, but the area does not arm.
No zones are programmed for that area.
User does not have the appropriate
Authority Level to arm system.
Must press On or Perimeter Only keys.
Add a minimum of one zone to each area.
Make sure users who should be able to arm/disarm
the system have the appropriate Authority
Level.
I cannot tell if the system is
armed for Perimeter Only or
Partial On from a
DS7445i/DS7445V2 LED
Keypad.
The keypad turns the Perimeter Only LED
on for both of these arming options, but it
cannot distinguish between the two.
There is no solution. The user who arms the
system will have to know which keys were pressed
([Perimeter Only] or [#][2] for Perimeter Only; [#][3]
for Partial On).
I armed the system All On, but it
keeps changing to Perimeter
Only.
The “Perimeter Only If No Entry/Exit arming
option is enabled ” (see Arming Options 1 on
page 54). When the control panel was
armed, nobody faulted an Exit Delay zone.
Therefore the control panel did not arm
those internal zones.
See see Arming Options 1 on page 54 (Address
0258) to disable the “Perimeter Only If No
Entry/Exit arming option.
I am using an exit terminator
switch. When I try to arm, the
keypad does not show any delay.
Exit Delay is set to zero.
Do not set Exit Delay to zero when using the exit
terminator option. Set Exit Delay for at least 10
seconds.
59.2 Zone
Issues
Problem
Cause
Solution
I have a trouble on a keyswitch
zone and it does not clear. The
zone is restored to its normal
condition.
Swinger Shunt on a keyswitch might be
enabled on this zone function. The zone will
not restore until the Swinger Shunt condition
restores.
Arm and disarm the system to clear the current
trouble. To prevent this in the future, check the
keyswitch zone function programming and make
sure Swinger Shunt is disabled. See the DS7200V2
Expert Programming Guide
(P/N: 4998153891) for
complete zone function programming instructions.
There is no output after alarming
a zone.
Incorrect programming.
Review the following sections to see if the output is
correctly programmed:
See “Options 2, Zone Function ##” in the
DS7200V2 Expert Programming Guide
(P/N: 4998153891).
See Outputs on page 86.
