This parameter consists of four options for the physical phone line.
•
Do Not Wait for Dial Tone: If this option is enabled, the control panel waits three seconds after going off-hook and then
starts dialing. If this option is disabled, the control panel waits for the dial tone.
•
‘R’ Function/Three-way Calling: If selected, the control panel’s ‘R’ function/three-way calling option is enabled. This option
must be enabled on the control panel’s telephone line by the phone company.
•
Call Barring: If selected, the call-barring sequence (typically *261#) is programmed into the control panel’s Call Forwarding
Auto Off Digits (see Call Forwarding Auto On/Off Digits/Call Barring on page 45 for more information on the control panel’s
Call Forwarding Auto On/Off Digits). When this option is selected, the control panel goes off-hook and dials the number
stored in the Call Forwarding Auto Off Digits every time the control panel is powered up, or goes through a programming
reset. This option also automatically disables Call Forwarding when selected. The following keypad user functions are
disabled when call-barring is selected (entering any of these functions generates an error tone):
−
Auto-Forward On/Off ([#][8][2])
−
Auto-Forward Setup ([#][8][3])
−
Auto-Forward Off Setup ([#][8][4])
•
Phone Line Fault Requires Reset: If this option is enabled and a phone line fault occurs, the trouble condition (keypad
trouble message and/or tone) continues until the [System Reset] key is pressed (the phone line fault must be corrected first).
If this option is disabled and a phone line fault occurs, the trouble condition clears automatically when the phone line fault is
corrected. This option also applies to the Alternate Communication Path Fault Control Input.
