Replacing the Boards in the TSQ 9000 Instrument

Electrometer Board and Shield



To replace the electrometer board and shield

1. Shut down your system by following the steps in

“Shutting Down the TSQ 9000 System”

page 127

2. Slide the top cover panel toward the back of the instrument and lift it off.

3. Disconnect the electrometer board cable.

4. Use a T10 Torxhead screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the electrometer shield

in place.

5. Lift off the electrometer shield and replace it if necessary.

Note

You do not have to remove the ion source cartridge or the column or vent the

instrument. If you are using hydrogen as a carrier gas, power off the GC.
