Replacing the Electron Multiplier

TSQ 9000 Hardware Manual

Thermo Scientific

8. Open the front door of the GC and loosen the transfer line nut. Then pull the column

back (into the oven) about 5 cm to ensure the column is no longer in the ion source.

9. Use a T20 Torxhead screwdriver to loosen the top cover panel.

10. If you are using hydrogen, remove the remaining hydrogen safety screws.

11. Disconnect the electrometer board cable and large feedthrough cables labeled

Dynode

and

Electron Multiplier

.

12. Use a T20 Torxhead screwdriver to remove the four screws at each corner of the electron

multiplier plate.
