ECD Overview . 133

The following screen appears.
The default setting is 200 milliseconds. If you want to improve the signal-to-noise, change the

setting to 800 milliseconds; however, the noise improves but the peak shapes broaden. If you

want a faster detector response, change the setting to 50 milliseconds; however, the noise level

may increase.

In this Configuration screen use the up and down arrow or keypad

buttons to set the

Make-up

gas flow.

Touch

when finished.

Adjust the Make-Up Gas in the Manual Pneumatics Version

To adjust the make-up gas in the manual pneumatics version, use the on/off needle valve mounted on the

pneumatics control panel.

CAUTION

Do not overtighten the inner flow adjustment screw in the on/off

needle valve or the on/off regulator. Overtightening damages the

mechanical device.
