Touch the field for

Carrier Gas

and use up and down arrow or keypad

buttons to

enter in a new set point value, for example, 25.

Adjust the flow to the setpoint with the flow control knob.

NOTE: Entering a setpoint of “0” disables the ready not/ready mode

View ing/ Setting Carrier Gas Velocity in the PPC Version

Viewing/setting carrier gas velocity depends on your version of the Clarus GC. You can set the carrier gas

velocity only if you have the PPC version.

To view or set the carrier gas velocity:

From the System Status screen touch Injector icon for which you wish to set the carrier gas

velocity.
The tab page for the selected injector appears.

In this example, the Clarus GC is configured with the capillary mode on for velocity. If the option

for capillary control has been selected during configuration, the user can program the carrier gas

according to one of three values: pressure, velocity, or flow. The carrier gas field on the injector

tab screen displays the set point value. The label below the field displays the current step. The
