Define Detector Dialog
If Detector A is pressed on the Connect PPC Device screen the dialog shown below pops up. Since the
PPC has yet to be configured the primary module is undefined and the secondary module entry is
disabled.
Note that the dialog title bar contains the detector name and that the primary and secondary
function boxes are now labeled with the default gases for this type of detector. For a detector
that only requires a single gas – ECD, PID, and External - the secondary module line is hidden.
The only valid option for a detector is a
Detector flow module . The following screen shows
that once Detector flow has been selected the position combo box is recalculated and offers
positions 3 to 6 as possible options.
Once Position 3 is assigned to the primary module, however, this location is no longer available
for use with the secondary module.
1. Press
OK
to implement the changes and return to the connect screen.
2. In the example shown in the following screen, press
Detector B
and connect Detector flow
modules for the TCD module.
Note the changes to the window title bar and the labels on the left hand combo boxes.
