FPD Overview . 175

Attach a Flow meter to the FPD

Open the detector cover.

This exposes the detectors. The following figure shows a top view of FPD outlet.

3. Attach the tubing from the flowmeter to the FPD outlet.

Adjust the Hydrogen Flow

Combustion gases are controlled by an on/off regulator and needle valve that are located on the

pneumatics control panel. The on/off regulator controls the air flow and the needle valve controls the

hydrogen flow.

NOTE: Do not overtighten the inner flow adjustment screw in the needle valve or the on/off regulator.

Overtightening damages the mechanical device.
