Exception: hysteresis of both software limit positions meets or overlaps
In the description of the previous section, the hysteresis areas of both software limit positions are
separated from each other. The following applies to this standard case (also see the left-hand
diagram below):
•
> 65534 incr
The following applies to applications in which the hysteresis areas meet or overlap (also see the
diagram in the middle below/right-hand diagram below):
•
-
≤
65534 incr
Up to version 15.xx.xx,
the maximum travel range will be set if hysteresis areas are overlapping
(
-
≤
65534 incr.).
The software limit positions are therefore deactivated. In order to prevent the system from being
damaged, the software limit positions have to be corrected so that the following conditions apply:
1. SW_Limit_POS[incr] > SW_Limit_NEG[incr]
2. SW_Limit_POS[incr] - SW_Limit_NEG[incr] > 32767
From version 16.00.00
onwards, overlapping of the inner hysteresis areas of the software limit
positions is avoided by scaling down the hysteresis width, see hatched area:
Error area (actual position)
Reduced hysteresis area in positive direction
Reduced hysteresis area in negative direction
: Positive software limit position
: Negative software limit position
Danger!
The drive traverses without taking the software limit positions set into consideration!
Hysteresis width [incr] in pos. direction
Hysteresis width in neg. direction
