2. Remove circlip (A); then remove the output drive

idler gear (B).

3. Remove the cap screws (A) securing the output

drive bevel gear housing; then remove the housing

(B).

4. Remove four cap screws (A) securing the output

driven bevel gear housing (B); then tap lightly on

the front of the output driven bevel gear shaft (C)

using a plastic mallet. The output driven bevel

gear and housing come off with the shaft

assembly.

NOTE: Check the bevel gears (A) for scoring,

chipping, or abnormal gear patterns; then check
the bearings by rotating the drive and driven
gears. If no abnormalities are detected, set the
assemblies aside for installation. Do not remove
from housings.
