Cleaning the PTVBKF Injector Head Assembly

TRACE 1300 and TRACE 1310 Hardware Manual

Thermo Scientific

a.

Using the slotted stubby driver provided, unscrew and remove the liner cap.

b. Use tweezers to remove the liner with the liner seal (o-ring) from the injector.

10. Remove the fan assembly.

The fan is fixed on a support. Do not remove the fan from its support, but remove the
assembly by proceeding as follows:

a.

Using tweezers, and a T10 Torxhead screwdriver, unscrew and remove the left fixing
screw of the support, then unscrew and remove the right fixing screw. See

CAUTION

Be careful not to break the glass liner when removing it. Glass splinters

might fall into the lower part of the vaporization chamber. If the glass liner
breaks, follow the instructions for

“Replacing the PTVBKF Broken Liner”
