Door unlock Interface Unit.
•
Connect the white (5V) and blue (0V) wires of the Door Unlock
Interface Unit to the AFU door unlock terminals as per the diagram.
Note that the connections are polarity sensitive.
•
The orange and green wires for the Door Unlock Interface Unit are
not used for this application.
After installation the correct operation of the door unlock interface can
be tested.
When the door unlock is idle (not operated):
•
The Door Unlock Interface LED is OFF.
•
The output between contacts 2 - 3 is open.
•
The output between contacts 1-3 is short.
When the door unlock is activated:
•
The Door Unlock Interface LED turns on and stays on for the
duration specified in system programming.
•
The output between contacts 2 - 3 is short for the duration specified
in system programming.
•
The output between contacts 1-3 is open for the duration specified
in system programming.
To programme the length of time the door unlock opens refer to
Installation Programming - 15i Timer Door Opener.
External Paging
Note:
The external paging interface has not been formally released by
Telstra at the time of publication
The external paging interface connects to the AFU in the same manner
as for the door station.
There can only be one door station or external paging interface
connected to the system.
The external paging interface must be connected to an ACA (formally
Austel) compliant paging unit.
•
Remove the screw from the top of the external paging unit.
•
Remove the rear cover by hinging out and down.
