3. With the station still facing down lift the base off of the station.
4. Observing all PBA Antistatic handling precautions disconnect the speaker connector from the
circuit board then remove the 15 phillips head screws that retain the circuit board, remove the
circuit board being careful not to damage the display or button pad that may stay attached
to the circuit board or may stay installed in the front of the station.
5. Press the two sides of the switch hook mechanism inwards to remove from the two raised pivot
posts on the station case.
6. Replace the Phase 1 compression spring with the new Phase 2 compression spring (749/46)
7. Reassemble the station using steps 3 to 5 in reverse order being careful to replace all of the
15 screws into the correct position.
8. Once the station is assembled to this point then the flat extension spring should be
removed from the base of the station and discarded, if this spring is left inplace then the
handpiece will not hangup correctly.
9. Reassemble the station using steps 1 & 2 in reverse order and test the station for correct
operation both offhook using the handpiece and on hook in handsfree.
