Installation Checklist
Use the following checklist in conjunction with the detailed procedures
to ensure that the Telstra Commander i+ system is correctly installed.
•
Check that the equipment supplied is as listed on the System Order
Form.
•
Unpack all equipment and check for any damage incurred during
transit.
•
Locate and mount all equipment.
Ensure that all system elements including cabling are not installed
near sources of electromagnetic radiation (eg, antennae,
photocopiers, electric control panels, transformers, radiotherapy
equipment).
•
Install cabling for system Bus.
•
Install cabling for external lines.
•
Install any ancillary cabling (external MOH/station based alarm).
•
Connect all stations to the system Bus.
•
Assign station numbers to each keystation.
•
Connect any AFUs to the system Bus.
•
Initialise the AFUs and allocate an AFU number.
•
Test station cabling by making an Intercom Call between the two
stations the greatest distance apart.
•
Test external line cabling by checking the presence of external dial
tone.
•
Program customer data.
•
Back-up customer data to second master station (if present).
•
Final test of system and features.
•
Complete customer record.
