Specific Telephone Stations
Two types of telephone stations are provided, a PSTN Master station,
and a Standard station. Outside appearance of all stations are the same.
To identify the station, check the product label on its base.
PSTN Master
Station
A PSTN Master station allows for the connection of up to two external
trunk lines, and it is possible to connect two PSTN Master stations in a
system. This allows up to four external lines that can be accessed from
the entire system or to specific stations.
Standard Station
The Standard station has the same general appearance and the same
features as the Master station, but does not provide direct connection
to the external lines.
Options
Analogue Facilities
Unit (AFU)
The AFU is an optional interface of the Commander i+ system,
allowing for connection of up to 2 standard tone telephone terminals
(telephone sets, cordless, multi-function telephones, FAX, answering
machines, modems, etc) or one standard tone telephone terminal and a
door station / external paging interface.
A maximum of two AFUs can be connected to one system, giving a
total of 4 telephone terminals, but with the following limitations:
•
Only one Door Station OR external paging interface per system.
•
Only one Door Unlock per system (in combination with the door
station).
Door Station
Door Unlock
A door station is available as an option which allows a station user to
make and receive calls plus monitor activity in the door station area.
Connection is via the AFU (Analogue Facilities Unit).
A door unlock can also be connected to the AFU. While in
communication with a door station, the door may be unlocked by
