Extended Star Wiring
Incorrect Example

The following is an example of an incorrect wiring configuration:

Master station number 1 is located more than 10 metres from the
centre.

A unit within 10 metres of the centre is terminated.

One unit is terminated with 100 ohms instead of 200 ohms.

More than one unit is terminated on a branch (only the end unit on a
branch must be terminated).

One branch is over 150 metres in length.

The sum of the distance of all branches is greater than 400 metres:
50 + 100 + 3 + 50 + 80 + 40 + 160 = 483 metres
