Forward/Reverse Parking Distance Warning
(PDW)
"Auto On" Setting
䳜 Parking Distance Warning Auto On
is activated or deactivated when
you select 䳒User Settings (LCD
display) or Settings → Vehicle
(Infotainment System screen) →
Driver assistance → Parking
safety → Parking Distance Warn

ing Auto On䳓 from the Settings
menu in the Settings menu in the
cluster LCD display or the Settings
in the Infotainment System
screen.

Function operation
PDW controller
䳜 Press Parking Safety button
( ) to turn the function on and
off.
䳜 When the function is off (button
indicator light off), if you shift the
gear to R (Reverse), the function
will automatically turn on.
䳜 The Parking Safety ( ) button
indicator light will illuminate when
the function operates. When the
vehicle speed exceeds 30km\h (19
mph), the function will turn off
and the button indicator light will
not illuminate.
䳜 When the gear is shifted to R
(Reverse), even if the button is
repressed, the button indicator
light will not turn off and the
function will operate to assist
safe parking.

ing activates in following 3 condi

1. The vehicle is changed from R
(Reverse) to D (Drive) when
Forward/Reverse Parking Dis

tance Warning is activated
2. The vehicle is at D (Drive) posi

tion and PDW indicator is illumi -

3. The gear is changed at D (Drive)
position whilst 'Parking Dis

tance Warning Auto ON' is
selected
