ipc1 Document Monitor Error Messages
Document is Unserviceable
Unless there is a hardware error, a job is considered unserviceable if the
controller does not support the features selected for the job. This most
often occurs when you use a non-Imagistics driver to submit a job to a
Imagistics printer.
For example, you may select an HP LaserJet driver in Windows and
connect it to the network port to which the controller is attached. Since
the default configuration is PCL, the controller may not recognize that the
print commands (requesting services it does not provide) are coming from
a non-Imagistics driver.
Corrective Action
1 Use only Imagistics printer drivers, PPD file (Macintosh), and Unix
filters to print to the digital copier. For instructions on installing
Imagistics client software, refer to Installing Client Software on
page 189.
2 Make sure that the driver network port is mapped to the correct
printer. For more details, refer to the Operator’s Guide .
Printer has a Paper Jam
The copier bitmap image displayed on the copier control panel and in
Printer Utility indicates the location of the paper jam. You must clear the
paper path before printing can resume. For more information about
resolving paper jams, refer to the Operator’s Guide for Copying Functions
or contact your Imagistics authorized dealer for support.
Printer is Offline
An administrator has turned off the printer, so it is not available to
process your job. Contact your network administrator for support.
Cassette is Out of Paper
Consult Printer Utility to find out which cassette is out of paper. Fill the
cassette and press
S
TART
on the copier control panel to resume printing.
