If you receive any other output, the filters will not work. Contact your
system administrator to correct the operating system name.
4 Change to the root directory.
5 Depending on the operating system, enter the appropriate command:

Solaris:
tar xvf solaris106.tar
„
HP-UX:
tar xvf hpux106.tar
„
IBM AIX:
tar xvf aix106.tar
„
Linux:
tar xvf linux106.tar
„
Open Unix:
tar xvf openunix106.tar
The command extracts all the required files and installs them in the
correct locations.

You must have root privileges to create a print queue.
Prerequisites

Locate the controller IP address to access the device through its IP
address.

Alternatively, add the device host name to the
/etc/hosts
file using
the
admintool
command for Solaris or IBM AIX, the
sam
command
for HP-UX, or the
linuxconf
command for Linux.
Unix Queue Setup
Creating a Print Queue
1 Log on to the root account.
2 Enter the following command:
ipc1im8130add <queue name> <host name or IP address>
where
X
is either 1 or 2 depending on the controller and
<queue
name>
is the name of the print queue and
<host name or IP
address>
is either the host name of the controller or is the IP address
of the controller.
