General Software Error Conditions
Software General Protection Fault
Problem Description
A General Protection Fault can occur for many reasons and generally
causes the application to terminate, losing any unsaved changes. If this
occurs when printing from an application, it may be the result of a driver
conflict.
Corrective Action
1 If the application is not automatically terminated by the error, use the
Windows
End Task
function (
CTRL+ALT+DELETE
) to exit all open
applications.
2 Restart the computer.
3 If the problem persists, contact your Imagistics authorized dealer for
support. Have the following information available when you call:
„
Operating system, type, and version.
„
Software in use at the time of the failure.
„
The specific action you performed when the failure occurred (for
example, deleting a job or changing Print Properties).
„
The exact wording of the error message.
Invalid File Exception Handle
Problem Description
This condition may arise due to a network problem, disk I/O error, or
software bug. It is most likely the result of an unrecoverable disk error.
