If you change the TCP/IP protocol settings or enable/disable a
network card, you must reboot the controller before the changes take
effect.

Configuring SMB Settings
If you are using the SMB networking protocol for any network traffic
involving the controller, you must enable the SMB protocol on the
controller. The SMB protocol is disabled by default. If you are not using
SMB for any network traffic, disabling the SMB protocol on the controller
reduces overhead and improves efficiency.

In the SMB area of the Network page, click the
Protocol
drop-down list.

Select
Enable
to enable SMB protocol. This is the default setting.

In the
Device Name
field, enter the controller name.

Enter the controller
Workgroup
in the appropriate field.

Enter the address of the
Primary WINS Server
.

Enter a
WINS Scope ID
for the controller.
Note: Macintosh and Unix networks must have WINS or NETBIOS
support to access the ipc1-im8130 controller by name instead of IP
address.
