Appendix H: Replacing the Hard Drive
APPENDIX H: REPLACING THE HARD DRIVE
The system comes with a pre-installed 3.5" SATA hard drive. The system supports up to 3
terabytes (TB) of SATA storage—one 3TB 3.5" SATA HDD.
NOTE: Make sure that the system is
OFF
and the power cable has been disconnected before
changing the hard drive.
Removing the Hard Drive
1. Remove the two screws on the side panels of the housing and the 5 screws on the rear panel.
ATTENTION
: Do not remove the two screws near the fan.
2. Carefully slide the cover away from the front panel and lift away from the housing.
NOTE: Make sure the cover is clear of all ports and connectors on the rear panel.
Slide the cover and lift away from housing
3. Disconnect the cables from the hard drive.
4. With one hand supporting the hard drive, remove the four mounting screws from underneath
the housing.
Support the HDD and remove the mounting screws underneath the housing
5. Remove the hard drive from the housing.
