a . Turn clutch a ssem b ly over on bed of arbor
p r e s s and r e st end of r e le a s e s le e v e on p ie c e of
2^ -inch O.D. tubing.
b. U se the 2 x 4 bridge a s shown in figu re 10
to co m p r e ss the p r e s s u r e sp rin gs and in sta ll the
two %-inch block s betw een the r e le a s e bearing and
sp rin g plate hub.
2. P erform the follow ing on S p icer 15^-inch
clutch:
a . Insert two 7/16"-14N C (5" long) guide
studs into two upper mounting h oles of the flyw h eel.
b. Slide clutch d isc aligning tool or a tr a n s­
m issio n m ain drive g ea r, through r e le a s e bearing
s le e v e and a sse m b le rear driven d isc on tool.
NOTE: When placing driven d isc on aligning
tool, be su re the la r g e r exposed portion of d isc
dam per sp rin g s fa ce the p r e ssu r e plate (as shown).
c . P la c e interm ed iate plate in flyw heel ring,
aligning driving lu g s of p la te with s lo ts provided.
d. P la c e front driven d isc a ssem b ly on a lig n ­
ing tool with exposed portion of d isc damper
sp rin g s facing the p r e s s u r e p late.
e . P o sitio n clutch a ssem b ly under flyw heel
and u se a sm a ll chain h o ist o r jack to lift clutch
a ssem b ly into p osition on the two a ssem b ly guide
stu d s.
NOTE: If alignm ent m arks w ere made on fly ­
w heel ring and flyw heel p rio r to rem oval, align
