pump a s follows:
1. Open the d rain cock in the pump body and
d ra in cooling sy stem .
2. Loosen the hose clam ps and fo rce the w ater
pump in let hose against the pump inlet elbow.
3. Rem ove the two bolts and w a sh e rs that
a ttac h the pump outlet flange to the cylinder block.

4. Rem ove the th re e bolt and s e a l a sse m b lies
that attach th e pump to the blow er assem b ly , then
u se sp ecial tool (J-4242) to rem ove the in n er cap
screw (re fe r to fig. 32).
5. W ithdraw the pump and rem ove the gasket
and th e outlet flange with packing rin g.
